Education:

Ms. Pichardo was born in the Dominican Republic but has been calling Orlando, Florida home since she was seven years old. Upon graduating high school in 2001, she attended Valencia College and transferred to UCF (Go Knights!). After graduating from college in 2005, she studied abroad for one year in Madrid, Spain and returned to Orlando to pursue her Master's degree. Ms. Pichardo has been an educator since 2006, starting out as a high school English teacher and moving on to the role of school counselor in 2013. She worked at Gateway High School in the School District of Osceola County, and just recently joined the Boone High School Guidance team. Ms. Pichardo is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Management at Capella University.

Bachelors in Psychology from Florida State University with a minor in Education

Ms. Strum was born in New Jersey and moved to South Florida in 2001. She graduated from Cypress Bay High School in 2015 and then from FSU in 2019 (Go Noles!) From Tallahassee, she moved to Orlando to pursue her Masters in School Counseling (Go Knights!) and is excited to be a Boone Brave.

Ms. Stanton was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and is a 2nd generation Boone Brave. After graduating from the University of Florida, she returned to Orlando where she taught intensive reading at Boone High School for 9 years. She earned her master's degree in counseling from Barry University and worked as a mental health counselor for Children's Home Society while completing her hours for state licensure. She returned to OCPS as a school counselor at Piedmont Lakes Middle in 2016. Ms. Stanton is excited to be back at Boone!

Sheridan Kushner is a proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development and Master of Arts in School Counseling degrees. During her time at UCF, Sheridan was heavily involved in multiple campus and student life activities. She served in various roles in Student Government Association and the Office of Student Involvement, worked in the Office of the President, was on the 2014 Homecoming Court, and was named a recipient of the highest student honor at the university: Order of Pegasus. Sheridan was the AVID teacher and coordinator at Bridgewater Middle School before spending two years with the Seminole County public school system. Prior to Boone, Sheridan was the acting ESE Counselor at Lyman High School. Simultaneously, she spent the 3 years facilitating small group therapy to children of all ages at a private practice. Sheridan is currently working toward a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction
