Welcome from Dr. Hector Maestre, our Principal!

As we enter the December holiday season, I hope this edition finds you having enjoyed a very happy Thanksgiving and a successful week after we returned from the break. With only three weeks left in this quarter and for the semester, we have a very busy schedule before that last day of school on Friday, December 22. Please look over the calendar below closely as we have important testing dates and special holiday season events coming up in the next few days. Parents, please also remember that second quarter progress reports were posted to Skyward this past week so if you have not yet reviewed your student's grades, please do so right away. With three weeks of instruction remaining, there is still time to make changes if your student is not quite where they should be.
Many students will be taking part in F.A.S.T. testing (below) on Tuesday, December 5. (We will operate from a modified bell schedule on Tuesday.) Please remember that students should charge their laptops the evening before any assessments and bring their charger to school each day for their assessments. Please also make sure they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school on all test dates. Additionally, any student that arrives late will be required to sit for the make-up session of the test on a different date. Thank you parents for helping us with this as we prepare for our upcoming end of the year testing.
Finally, thank you for supporting our special seasonal events this month whenever you can. And Braves, please don't forget that each day this week carries its own theme beginning with Monday's "Holiday Class Colors!"
