Principal’s Message
A man with short brown hair smiles at the camera, wearing a white shirt and a black and red striped tie.

Summer Greetings!

I hope that this message finds you and your family well. School will begin in a few weeks and I want to welcome all of our returning and new students to a new school year!

One of our most important responsibilities to you is that we keep you informed year-round of all that is taking place at the school. One of the ways we do this is regularly updating our school website. In fact, this summer you will find that the website has a new look which we hope will make it even easier to navigate. You can find up-to-date events along with important school information here, so I encourage you to visit it as often as possible.

I want to thank you, our Boone parents & guardians, for your ongoing support even during the summer. Your partnership is invaluable, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you in educating your children. Enjoy these last weeks of summer break and please begin gearing up for another outstanding school year!

We look forward to welcoming our students back to school in just a few weeks. Before the first day of school we will have Laptop Distribution July 28-August 1. Individual appointments with assigned pickup dates and times have been sent to student OCPS email accounts. We will also be hosting our annual Meet the Teacher event, Braves are Back, on August 7. Freshmen from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Sophomores from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Juniors and Seniors from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Forever Brave,

Hector Maestre, Ed.D.
Principal
