Welcome from Dr. Hector Maestre, our Principal!
We have two themed weeks running concurrently this week: 1) Prom Spirit Week with five fun dress-up days leading up to Prom on Saturday; and 2) FAFSA Week organized to help our seniors get their financial aid paperwork done correctly and on time. The FAFSA serves as the gateway to all federal aid money, including loans, work-study and grants, the latter of which are the most desirable kinds of assistance because they typically do not need to be repaid. If this applies to you or your student, please take advantage of the events Ms. Gurley (our awesome college and career specialist) has planned for each day.
I want to thank all of those Boone families that made time to take the 2024 Family Survey which closed this past Friday. Once we receive the combined results, we will begin to use the families' recommendations as part of our 2024-2025 school improvement plan which will be discussed during the school year at our monthly SAC (School Advisory Council) meetings.
We still have six weeks remaining in the school year so I ask that all of our Braves continue to make daily attendance priority #1 and to stay current on all assignments. Please do not back off from your goals and continue to put forth your best effort. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week!
