Anthropology
What Is It?

*Honors 0.5 credit (semester course that is typically paired with Philosophy Honors). The study of various aspects of humanity from the earliest humans to today. This is a strong prep for college general education coursework and a solid choice for an academic elective. Students will cover all 4 subfields: Archaeology, Physical (i.e. genetics, forensics), Language, & Culture.

Philosophy
What Is It?

This is a strong prep for college general education coursework and a solid choice for an academic elective. Students will study the major philosophers of history and their contributions to western and eastern civilizations, applying and connecting these ideas to their modern life.

What Is It?

Students assist teachers with various needed activities.

ESOL Assistant
What Is It?
Students will serve as in-classroom peer tutors for current ESOL students. You will be expected to work with students individually or in small groups to help them understand the class material, to translate, and to help with classroom tasks.

Senior Seminar/Research
What Is It?

Research provides the opportunity to choose a topic of interest that will be researched in depth over the course of a full year. You will have the opportunity to choose a topic. AP Seminar is required. 

Seminar is year one of a two-year special diploma program culminating in AP Research. This rigorous, fast-moving program combines research, writing, and presenting. Incoming 10th graders need to be enrolled in English 2 Honors and incoming 11th graders need to be enrolled in AP English Language or UF Dual Enrollment English.
