Principal’s Message

This past Friday was the start of our annual pre-planning period for teachers leading up to the first day of school on Monday, August 11th. We are very excited to have all of our teachers back as they prepare their classrooms, curriculum, and hearts for the year ahead. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the vital role our teachers play in shaping the future of our Braves. Their resilience, adaptability, and passion brought into the classrooms each school day is the foundation behind the top academic ratings Boone High School earns from the Florida Department of Education.
Parents & guardians, please remember that Thursday, August 7th is Braves Are Back:
- Freshmen - 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
- Sophomores - 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
- Juniors & Seniors: 11:00 AM - 12:30 AM\
We hope that all of our incoming families will join us Thursday morning for Braves Are Back so that students are prepared for an excellent start on the first day of classes (details below). In addition to Braves Are Back, please also make sure to visit our website if you have yet to do so. The new website format should save you time whether you are searching for either Boone High School or OCPS district information.
Here’s to this week ahead which leads into what promises to be another successful year of student achievement. And thank you very much for reading this 4th and final edition of our Totem Talk summer series.
