At school, it may feel like creative minds become diminished, yet in reality, they can flourish.
Drama Club takes place in the PAC and has opportunities for students to broaden their creativity, while also learning more about theatre and exploring the world of productions.
The club is run by the two Thespian captains, juniors Dillon Sturdivant and Ellie Hoyer.
"They help connect people, and it's a fun experience, especially if you're into theatre," said freshman Ava Oller.
Drama Club is after school on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30, and with school burdening creative minds, students can find a way to express their vivid imagination through this extracurricular, as long as they are given the chance.
Freshman Jacob Forst said, "I think if some teachers just took a break, and gave their students catch-up days more than usual, then it could definitely become [easier to show up to meetings]."
Along with all of the games and activities done at Drama Club, students can pursue their passions.
Sophomore Amelia Eleazer said, "It really gives you an outlet to perform in and be performative in front of other people. I know a lot of people who love to perform, but they just don't know how to get up in front of people. And drama club really helps you [to] do that, because you get to play silly little games and perform."
Drama Club helps students connect with others while also broadening their view on theatre and the performing arts. They may even become more creative and open-minded to performing on a stage with others, giving students the confidence and opportunity to expand their horizons and truly express their creativity.
