Message From Dr. Maestre

This is a short school week due to the Labor Day holiday. On Tuesday we will be holding our September School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting at 5:30pm. All members of our school community are welcome and encouraged to attend. Following the SAC meeting and starting at 6:30pm, our PTSO will be hosting Greet & Gather as an opportunity for parents to meet one another, hear important updates, and vote on the annual budget. Please plan on joining us!

We enter the month September having maintained the momentum we enjoyed during the first weeks of school. We can find examples of high-end rigor occurring in classrooms across the campus, students are engaged in athletics and club activities, and for the most part, we are experiencing few issues with compliance to code of conduct procedures. Thank you both to our Braves and to our families for the cooperation. Please keep up the outstanding efforts throughout this first week of the month.

As always, thank you for reading!

Forever Brave,

Dr. Maestre
Principal

September SAC Meeting

Please join us for our first SAC Meeting of the 2025-2026 school year! We will meet in the Media Center at 5:30pm. You will be able to enter campus through the gate between the Performing Arts Center and the 1000 building.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community – the principal, teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other business and community citizens. A majority of the members of each school advisory council must be persons who are not employed by the school district. The SAC serves as a voice for school improvement by assisting the principal in preparing and evaluating the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and providing input on the school's budget. Council members representing teachers, education support employees, students, and parents are elected by their respective peer group, and business and community members are selected to ensure representation of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school. The SAC plays a crucial role in fostering continuous improvement and ensuring that the school's decisions reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
